Okay, It's Been a While...

Well, October came and went without me even realizing it. Yes my post is very late, but better late then never, right?
Halloween was a success even though we didn't go and trick or treat since it fell on a Sunday. The Monday before we took the kids to the pumpkin patch, then we came home and decorated a Halloween House. On Tuesday night we went to the ward trunk or treat, where they collected plenty of candy. On Friday the kids had their parade and fall festival at school. On Sunday we had a fun dinner with their cousins and they got to hand out candy to trick or treators. They were so awesome when I explained why weren't going to trick or treat, not a single complaint. They are such good kids.
Mia and Addy were both witches this Halloween, costumes Melissa and I had purchased for other children and didn't even realize we had bought the same costume. I am dreading the day Mia realized all of her costumes are hand me downs and refuses to wear them. The girls wouldn't take their pictures separately. This is the most normal picture we got of them.

Landon was a Special Ops Ninja. I am so surprised he wanted to be some kind of a fighter guy (can you sense the sarcasm)
Isabel is making the princess circuit. She has been Snow White, Cinderella, and now Sleeping Beauty. She is such a girl.

When we took the kids to the pumpkin patch we told them they could get any pumpkin they could pick up.

Mia, super impressed with her pumpkin.

Isabel, pulling Mia around the pumpkin patch while they waited for Landon.

The munchkins. It had rained really hard the day and night before so all of the rides and activities were closed. Isabel was really mad and did not want to take this picture.

The Halloween House, their goal was to get every single piece of candy on that little house. They did it but the weight of the candy started making the icing slide off of the roof. We shoved it into the freezer and it held up.

Landon spent a great deal of time walking the patch trying to find the biggest pumpkin he could carry. He is such a funny kid.

We were really surprised how big of a pumpkin Isabel got. I think it only weight two pounds less than Landon's.
Isabel was awarded student of the month at school this week. She was so excited. Landon was student of the month last month and she was not happy that he was and she wasn't. She spent the next few days telling us all about what a good student she is and how she should have been the student of the month. She is the smartest, she always raises her hand, she is the cutest, a physical demonstration of how well she sits on the carpet, she knows her sight words better than anyone, and the list went on. I really do worry about her self-esteem sometimes (again, with the sarcasm). So it was a grateful surprise when I got the letter from her teacher the next month saying it was her turn.

Issy, getting her award from her teacher.

Me and my sweet girl.

Cute kids. Can't believe how more grown-up they look since you have left.

It's fun to see what you and your family are up to. You're looking fabulous in your picture w/ Issy.
