We had a great time with Ryan's family this past weekend.
Ryan, his brother Erik, and a couple of their friends participated in the Camp Pendelton Sprint Triathalon on Saturday. This was Ryan's third one. He did not do as well as he wanted but hey, that's what happens when you don't get to train.
After they did the triathalon we all met down at the beach in Malibu. It was an awesome day at the beach. The weather was perfect, the water was great, we got to see two lifeguard rescues, and the dolphins were in full entertainment mode. We see dolphins every time we go to the beach but on that day they were leaping out of the water, swimming through the waves, and they were in closer than the lifeguard boats. It was awesome. Most of the time the dolphins just surface so it's hard for the little ones to catch a glimpse, but with this activity they were able to watch. After the beach we went to dinner at Stone Fire Grill, Ryan's favorite.
Sunday morning we all headed to South Pasadena for Erik and Lisa's baby blessing. McKenzie is such a cute, good baby. Afterward we headed to a cute little park for lunch and play time. It was so much fun.

This looks like such a great time! I also love that you included yourself in the "lazy adults"!! Ha ha ha!
Looks like a great day, wish we had warm beaches up here!!! Jealous.
Are you guys coming back??? Looks like you're having too much fun being close to family and soaking up the sun to come back. :)
I'm so jealous! I miss the beach! It's so fun to catch up on the Larsen happenings on your blog. You are so up to date and current, of course, you are "Ms. On the ball." Your kids are adorable. Tell Ryan, good job on the sprint tri. Even if he didn't think he did that well, at least he attempted, right? :)
miss you!
Really hate u for being able to play at the beach anytime. We just get to go to the freezing Boise river!!
